Dak galbi, also romanized dalk galbi, is a popular Korean dish generally made by stir-frying marinated diced chicken in a gochujang based sauce, and sliced cabbage, sweet potato, scallions, onions, perilla leaves, and tteok together on a hot plate.
Dalk Kalbi is a famous regional dish from Chuncheon, Gangwondo- but you can get just as amazing dalk kalbi in Seoul!

Original Charcoal Grilled Dalk Bulgogi
Located in Gangwon-do Chuncheon, it opened it 1961 and has been operating for 54 years and is famous for using the same original method of charcoal grilling the dalk kalbi. Another signature dish is their beanpaste stew made with traditional country beanpaste. This restaurant represents the epitome of Chuncheon dalk kalbi.
Weaknesses
It’s a bit unfortunate that they don’t have the spicy flavour enjoyed by the younger generation
Because the charcoal smoke can ruin your makeup, it is not recommended as a date destination
It is difficult to tell with marinated meat if it is fully cooked- if only they would cook it for us…

The restaurant is located in dalk kalbi alley, a place a native Chuncheon-er would go. Already operating for 28 years, it has been regularly frequented by Korean celebrities such as Jo Inseong, JIseong and Lee Boyeong. Their speciality is their home made sauce and the fleshy meat of the chicken.

Huirae Dalk Kalbi is located in Seocho-gu Yangjae-dong, and is in its 20th year of operation. Marinated in their secret sauce for an entire day and grilled on top of charcoal made from oak, it actually feels like you’re eating real galbi!
