Have you tried Korean traditional cuisine, gejang, which is salted fermented seafood and made by marinating fresh raw crabs either in soy sauce? Also, you cannot miss eating gondrebap (gondre rice) with gejang! Gondrebap is rice mixed with cirsium setidens.
Today I’m going to introduce a famous traditional Korean style restaurant, selling awesome gejang and gondrebab for you. It locates in the deep street of Insa-dong so when you visit there, maybe you could have a lunch or dinner.
Name 정선할매곤드레밥
Hours 11:00-21:00/Every day
Location 29-13 Gwanhun-dong, Jongno-gu, Seoul
It’s Korean style so you have to take off your shoes and sit on the floor.
This one is gejang. Looks so yummy!
This one is gondrebap. The rice is sparkling! XD
As you know when you go to a traditional Korean restaurant, they serve lots of dishes. Here is no exception. You could ask staff to refill these dishes if you want more. By the way, the gondrebap could be refilled as well!
Doenjang-jjigae (soybean paste stew) is also served.
In the end, the table is full of dishes!
If you like seafood, you would enjoy this traditional Korean cuisine. If you haven’t had gejang before, give it a try next time. You will be amazed. 🙂
