During cold winter everybody looks for somewhere warm and somewhere to relax. Spas and hot springs are popular attractions among visitors in Korea. We will introduce you some spots where you can relax and enjoy your staying in Korea during cold winter. You can pick your favorite!

  1. The Guerlain Spais

The Guerlain Spa offers a lot of spa treatments along with body, facial and other massage programs. After experiencing relaxing spa and massage visitors also can experience Guerlain Makeup Bar, where skillful staffs will help you to select the very products which fit your skin type.

  • Directions: Dongguk Univ. Station (Seoul Subway Line 3), Exit 5. Walk approx. 6-7 min.

2. BanyanTree Club & Spa Seoul

It is one of the most luxurious spas in Asia and Banyan Tree Spa features the same programs as other Bayan locations all over the world. Range of spa and massage services are very famous.

3. Spa Land Centum City, Sinsegae Centum City

Spa Land is a place where you can enjoy and experience Korean traditional ways of thermal spa treatment. The spa uses two kinds of water: carbonated spring water from 1,000m deep underground, and salt spring water from 560m below ground. This spa place has 22 bathtubs including a children’s tub, 13 themed jjimjil-bangs(Korean spas), and an outdoor foot spa area, making it the perfect place for the whole family to relax and enjoy.

  • Directions: Seoul Station   → Busan Station → From Busan Station Bus Stop, take Bus No. 40 to Shinsegae Centum City Bus Stop → Walk approx. 3-5 min.

  • ※ Spa Land may be closed for 3-4 days a year for facility management.
  • Admission: Adults 10,000-18,000 won / Teenagers & Children 13,000–15,000 won

4. Paradise Spa Dogo

This Spa is situated in Asan city, region which is famous for its hot springs. The region was even used as a recuperation place for the royal family during the Silla Dynasty (57 BC-AD 935). The spa’s alkalescent water that is extracted from 300m deep underground contains sulfur and is known to be highly effective for brightening skin, smoothing wrinkles, and preventing hair loss. Th swimming water is very famous because it’s great for your health.

  • Directions: Yongsan Station → Dogo Oncheon Station → Take a taxi for approx. 5-6 min.
  • Operating hours Spa: Weekdays – Indoor 09:00-19:00, Outdoor 10:00-18:00
    ※ Night SPA(Fri-Sun) Indoor & Outdoor – Open until 22:00
    Hot Spring Bath: Mon-Thurs 08:00-20:00, Fri 08:00-23:00, Sat-Sun 07:00-23:0
    ※ Operating hours may vary depending on the season.
  • Admission: Spa: Adults & Teenagers 17,000-40,000 won / Children 17,000-34,000 won
    ※ Fees vary depending on day of the week and certain periods of the year.
    ※ Night SPA (Fri-Sun): 17,000 won regardless of age after 6pm.
    Hot Spring Bath: Adults & Teenagers 10,000-12,000 won / Children 8,000-9,000 won
    ※ Fees vary depending on day of the week and certain periods of the year.

5. Carribean Bay

Last but not least, one of the must visit places, if you are in Seoul. Caribbean Bay is a tropical themed water park that features an indoor swimming pool, hot springs, saunas, and a lazy river.

  • Address: 199, Everland-ro, Pogok-eup, Cheoin-gu, Yongin-si, Gyeonggi-do
  • Directions
    Jeondae∙Everland Station (YongIn Everline), Exit 3. Approx. 5 min. by shuttle bus (free of charge).
    Gangnam Station → Take Bus No. 5002 to Everland Bus Stop → Take shuttle bus (free of charge) approx. 5 min.
  •  Operating hours (Indoor): Weekdays 10:00-17:00, Weekends 09:30-18:00
    ※ Operating hours may vary depending on the season.
  • Admission: Adults & Teenagers 36,000-42,000 won / Children 28,000-33,000 won
