One Stop Destination near Hapjeong Station!
In this hot and humid weather, what about getting all your sightseeing, shopping and entertainment done in one shopping mall?
Located just outside Hapjeong Station, which is next to the famous Hongik University Area (or also known as Hongdae!) it is open from 9.00 onwards, and includes many interesting and exciting destinations!
It is famous for 2 things! The umbrella display that is a must-photograph opportunity for visitors and residents alike- have you seen instagram? Everyone uploads their own photo of this umbrella display! (What about sharing yours with us?)
It is also a famous destination because celebrities such as members of Big Bang, Infinite, Beast, and A-Pink are all said to live in the residences above this shopping mall! Will you be able to see a celebrity incognito? (We always say that if you meet a super attractive Korean in Korea, they MUST be some type of celebrity!)
Mecentapolis is a mixed used commercial district with a large range of eatining, retail and communal spaces! There is almost always some time of art exhibition happening on the ground floor- currently there are these very interesting pieces of wire work that we couldn’t help but admire!
EAT all day!
There are a range of fast food chains, cafes, and restaurants in this shopping mall, ranging from Korean casual food to upscale Western cuisine taking advance of the unique architecture of this building
Starbucks, 25 Katsu, Andong Zzim-dak, Angelinus, Saint Augustin, Kkanbu Chicken, Greek Yoghurt, Serafina New York, Pho-Bay are just some names!
SHOP til you drop!
There are three floors with curvy corners and hidden alleyways full of interesting stores! Ranging from classic Korean brands to some more unique artisanal brands, we highly recommend you check out the diverse range- but don’t lose control!
Etude House, Skin Food, Tony Moly, Innis Free, Lloyd, Olive Young, Nike, Gap, Studio 112, Laura Ashley, Uniqlo, Muji, 8 Seconds and TopTen are some of the amazing brands!
EXPERIENCE a visual spectacle!
Lottee Cinema is located on the top floor of the shopping mall and there is also a Lotte Card Art Center- so take a break from all the shopping and eating, especially the humid Korean summer by enjoying a movie, or two, or hey! What about three?
